Cosmetic and Restorative dentistry
There's really no such thing as a cosmetic dentist. All dentists are cosmetic dentists. Some are naturally talented and therefore enjoy the cosmetic aspects of dentistry more. But, usually a cosmetic dentist is one who devotes more time and education to enhancing their gifts and skills--no matter the talent level.
Dr. Daniel has learned from the best and truly enjoys the cosmetic side of denstistry. He only uses the best labs and best materials. Dr. Daniel devotes himself to meticulous planning before the treatment begins. He takes photographs and usually likes to make models of your teeth before treatment. And, most importantly, Dr. Daniel knows that aesthetics can never depart from the fundamentals of function with the jaw joints and bite. In fact, the best aesthetics comes from an understanding how the mouth functions...from the teeth, to the muscles, gums and jaw joints. The system was engineered very specifically and Dr. Daniel continues to take the time to study how it works.
Restorative and cosmetic dentistry includes the following:
*composite bonding--tooth colored fillings which can replace missing tooth structure, brighten a smile, cover discolored areas, add length to teeth, etc.
*crowns (porcelain, gold, porcelain fused to metal)--also called "caps," these restorations are used to restore broken teeth, to brighten discolored teeth, to strengthen weakened teeth after root canals, etc.
*veneers--porcelain bonded to the front surfaces of teeth to improve both the color and shape
